Pillowell Silver Band has been around for a while and is still thriving. With a strong contingent of local players from Pillowell and surrounding areas along with a fast growing junior band the future of brass in this corner of the forest looks bright indeed.

About the Band

Pillowell Silver Band are a traditional brass band based in the village of Pillowell just outside Lydney in the Forest of Dean. The band's players are from all age groups from the very young to the rather more mature.
Playing at concerts and events throughout the area this popular band plays an entertaining mix of traditional and modern music with the extensive library containing arrangements of many traditional brass band pieces as well as arrangements of more modern popular music. The band also performs in traditional brass band competitions and is currently graded in the 3rd Section Nationally and locally.

New Players Always Welcome

We are looking to fill a couple of vacancies in the main band. Our training band is growing and we welcome anyone along to that on a Friday evening and we also have a complete beginners section on a Sunday morning where beginners of all ages can pick up an instrument and have a go.

Learn with us

We now have two learner sessions on a Sunday morning for total beginners of all ages as well as two training band sessions suitable for beginners upwards on Wednesdays 6.30pm to 7.30pm . All are welcome to these sessions.
